Sinner tickets are in high demand: This is how much the fun costs

It was recently confirmed: Jannik Sinner will make his long-awaited comeback on Saturday. The tennis tournament in Rome is already in a state of absolute emergency. Fans scrambling for the last few tickets are in for an expensive adventure.

“I was away for so long, so I don’t know how I will play,” said Jannik Sinner on Monday in his first press conference in Rome He tried hard to dampen expectations. Regardless of this, the hype surrounding him intensified just hours later: Around 5.000 fans crowded into the stadium for his first training session on Monday evening.

More than twice as many will be in attendance next Saturday, when Sinner plays his first match at the Internazionali d'Italia and officially ends his three-month tournament break. After a bye in the first round, he will face Mariano Navone or Federico Cinà. However, the opponent seems to be completely uninteresting to many fans; it's all about him, the world's best tennis player at the moment.

Only remaining tickets available

The importance of the tournament in the Eternal City is demonstrated by the fact that Italy's Tennis Federation is once again suspending all team championships in the lower amateur leagues on the first weekend of the tournament in order to allow as many tennis enthusiasts as possible to visit the Foro Italico.

The main stadium, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful tennis arenas in the world, is already almost sold out. This is despite the fact that it's still completely unclear whether Sinner will take to the court on Saturday afternoon or in the evening during prime time. However, there is one indication: The organizers raised ticket prices for the afternoon session again on Monday – after the rough tournament schedule was announced.

Many stadium sections are already completely sold out, including the most expensive (€543) and the cheapest (€155) sections. And how much do the remaining tickets cost? Last-minute buyers will have to shell out €431,20 for the only remaining tickets in the lower ring, while the seats at the very top of the last row cost €191,40. Since these are mostly single seats, the black market prices circulating in Rome are already skyrocketing.

These tickets are still available (as of Tuesday, 12 noon):

Distinti below2nd ring, long side€ 250,80

In any case, all those tennis fans who secured their tickets for Saturday before the match schedule was announced can consider themselves lucky. Among them are hundreds of South Tyroleans who want to experience "their" Jannik up close during his big comeback.
