Imagine you are at soccer practice with your friends when the best tennis player in the world suddenly appears on the field. That is exactly what happened to some of the SSV Bruneck soccer kids on Wednesday, who were chasing the ball on the artificial turf pitch in the school sports zone when the two-time Grand Slam winner "crashed" the training session.
“An unforgettable moment for our youngest footballers: With wide eyes and amazed faces, they suddenly found themselves face to face with tennis star Jannik Sinner,” wrote SSV Bruneck on Facebook.
Bright children's eyes
"With his warm and down-to-earth manner, he made many children's eyes light up today. We are proud to be Puschtra Sinner winners and will keep our fingers crossed for everyone in the future," said the Bruneckers. The reason for the visit: The son of Alex Vittur (Sinner's manager) plays for the young Bruneckers. And so Vittur and the superstar stopped by together for a quick training session.Video: SSV Bruneck/Instagram

On Sunday the beaming winner at the US Open, now on the football field in Bruneck to fulfill some childhood dreams: Jannik Sinner is truly a champion, on and off the tennis court.
Short visit home
At the end there was a group photo.
Wie der Corriere della Sera reported, Sinner arrived in Milan on Tuesday and flew from there directly to Bolzano. From the regional capital he took a helicopter to Toblach and then a car to Sexten. The Pusterer is to stay in his home town until the end of the week, then Sinner has to prepare for the season finale. It is all the more remarkable when the number 1 in the tennis world takes the time to pay a visit to some young athletes.
