The death of favorites at the Masters 1000 tournament in Rome continues: The next star was hit on Monday.

After world number one Novak Djokovic the day before and Casper Ruud (NOR/7), the third top ten player was eliminated from the Masters 1000 tournament in Rome on Monday. The Russian Andrey Rublev (ATP 6) lost in the third round against the French Alexandre Muller 6:3,3:6,2:6. For Rublev it was the first defeat after seven wins, for Muller it was the first success over a top ten player.


The Madrid finalist also failed before the round of 7: Felix Auger-Aliassime lost to Australian Alex de Minaur after a three-hour fight 6:2(4),6,4:6:6. The eleventh in the world rankings now meets the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas. This year's Monte Carlo champion defeated Britain's Cameron Norrie 2,7:6:1(XNUMX).
