Braathen celebrates exuberantly: "This is just the beginning"

Lucas Pinheiro Braathen has had a unique season. The flamboyant star has now celebrated his success in Sölden.

Standing on a snowmobile and waving the Brazilian flag – Lucas Pinheiro Braathen's appearance at a ski party on the Giggijoch was certainly something special. In Sölden, the Norwegian-Brazilian star really got the crowd going, away from competition, points, and trophies, and even took on the role of DJ: The iconic song Samba de Janeiro Of course, it couldn't be missing.


Braathen didn't have to look far for a reason to celebrate. In the giant slalom. In the showdown with Marco Odermatt, he won the small crystal ball, a month earlier he had competed in the same discipline even crowned Olympic championA winter that the 25-year-old will probably not forget anytime soon.

Braathen: "Thank you for the love"

Whether family, friends, team, or fans – without the right support, he wouldn't have been able to fulfill his dreams. "Thank you for the love, energy, and light you've given me," Braathen continued. "I feel privileged to be able to dance with these colors in my own way. And this is just the beginning."

And what happens next? Braathen is heading to Brazil for the time being. He and his girlfriend Isadora Cruz had already left at the beginning of March. revealed in an interviewthat the ski star will spend the entire summer in South America. He might even be in for a few extra parties there.
