Innerhofer & Co. return home

The downhill skiers, including Florian Schieder and Dominik Paris, spent about a month in South America. Now the Italians are returning home – with mixed impressions.

Florian Schieder describes his time in Chile as a training camp with "highs and lows." The skier from Kastelruth spent almost a whole month with the Italian national team on the South American snow. "I'm taking the positives with me and looking ahead," says the South Tyrolean.

As every year, the training camp in South America was also affected by the weather this year. Overall, the Azzurri were lucky this year, although the training conditions were not always ideal.

Dominik Paris flew back to Europe a few days before the rest of the team. The downhill star from Ultental trained in La Parva and Valle Nevado, meaning he wasn't always with the rest of the team. The speed season begins at the end of November with a Super-G in Copper Mountain and then continues in Beaver Creek – also in the USA.
