Short Christmas break for two South Tyroleans

The best female skiers in the world are currently enjoying the Christmas season with their families at home. The technicians will have to get back to work soon.

A giant slalom and a slalom are on the program in Lienz on Thursday and Friday. The two South Tyroleans Elisa Platino (giant slalom) and Vera Tschurtschenthaler (slalom) will be there. It is the fifth appearance of this World Cup season for Platino and the fourth for Tschurtschenthaler. So far, only the Merano woman has scored points with a 20th place in the Canadian Tremblant.


Marta Bassino and Federica Brignone are again among the favorites in the giant slalom in Lienz. From an azure perspective, Sofia Goggia, Roberta Melesi, Lara Della Mea, Laura Pirovano and Asja Zenere are also there. Martina Peterlini, Marta Rossetti, Lara Della Mea, Beatrice Sola, Anita Gulli, Lucrezia Lorenzi and possibly Federica Brignone will also be at the start in the slalom. In Stangenwald, hopes rest on Rossetti, who was fifth this year.
