Ski aces on the road: Paris and the women make the start

A few more days at home and then Italy's ski stars will be heading to the other side of the world. In South America, Dominik Paris & Co. will lay the foundation for a successful 2024/25 season.

Ushuaia in the Argentinian Tierra del Fuego and La Parva (Chile) are the destinations of the Azzurri, who will set off for South America on August 26. Federica Brignone, Roberta Melesi, Marta Bassino and the men's speed team will be there.

The breakdown is as follows: Brignone, Melesi and Bassino are flying to Ushuaia from August 26th to September 26th. Because there is a lot of fresh snow and perfect piste conditions, the three all-rounders will be doing technique and speed training. Dominik Paris is also leaving for Ushuaia on August 3th. He and his team will train there until September 26th. After that, they will be heading to La Parva, but that is not yet certain. The weather conditions could throw a wrench into the plan, as Italy's winter sports association FISI announced.

The Azzurri speed team, consisting of Benjamin Alliod, Guglielmo Bosca, Mattia Casse, Nicolo Molteni, Christof Innerhofer, Florian Schieder and Pietro Zazzi, will fly directly to La Parva on August 28. The downhill skiers will stay in Chile until September 27.
