Julia Mancuso celebrated the end of her career in a special way: the 2018 Olympic giant slalom champion completed her last World Cup race in January 2006 in a Superwoman costume. Mancuso then left skiing behind and instead immersed herself in a new role: that of a family mother.
The seven-time World Cup winner has already given birth to two boys in recent years, and now child number 3 is following: a few days ago, little Rise saw the light of this planet.
"We've waited so long for you to complete our tribe. You are a gift, Rise," Mancuso wrote on social media. She added: "The big brothers already love being big brothers."
A wild pregnancy
In recent weeks, Mancuso has spoken of a "wild pregnancy" - after all, the former star skier is already 40 years old - a ripe old age for a pregnancy. "Listen to your intuition. My body just loves to adapt and face new challenges," Mancuso wrote on social media at the time. The Mancuso family now has another member. In addition to Julia and her two sons, her husband Dylan Fish is also happy. The two have been married since 2016 and have been traveling the world since then. The family now consists of five.
