Victoria Klotz caused a sensation.

International medals and much more

Victoria Klotz returns from the European Youth Olympic Festival in Georgia with a bronze and a silver medal. But these were not the only successes for South Tyrol's ski racers last week.

At the EYOF in Bakuriani in Georgen, Viktoria Klotz (Bolzano) took third place in the slalom behind the Frenchwoman Ilona Charbotel and the "Azzurra" Marta Giaretta. In the parallel team, however, the 16-year-old from RG Wipptal won the silver medal. Two other South Tyroleans, Alex Silbernagl and David Castlunger, were involved, and Marta Giaretta and Luca Loranzi were also part of the successful team.

Successful European Cup debut
Ivy Schölzhorn will probably remember February 14, 2025 forever. It was the day the 17-year-old made her European Cup debut. The RG Wipptal athlete finished the Super-G in Bardonecchia in 57th place and won the U18 rankings as Asja Zenere won. 24 hours later, the Austrian Nadine Fest was unbeatable, Schölzhorn had already improved by nine places and finished 48th.

Franzelin shows in Aosta
At an FIS slalom in Valgrisanche (Aosta), Jakob Franzelin (Montan) won the U21 category with the second fastest overall time and was also at the top of the Gran Premio Junior ranking.

The national champions (U21, U18) in giant slalom have been chosen
On Sunday, the national champions in the giant slalom in the U18 and U21 age groups were crowned on the Gitsch piste in the Gitschberg Jochtal ski area. The national FIS junior race also counted towards the Marlene Cup. In the women's race, Nadine Trocker achieved the best time of 1.50,48:18 minutes and was crowned U1.50,94 national champion. She relegated her teammate Anna Trocker from the Seiser Alm Ski Team (1.51,54:1.51,65) and Arianna Putzer from Val Gardena (21:1.51,75) to the top spots. With the fourth fastest time overall of 1.53,93:XNUMX, Selina Trafoier (SC Ulten) became UXNUMX national champion, followed by Valentina Fill (Kronplatz Skiteam/XNUMX:XNUMX) and Amelie Kinzner (RG Wipptal/XNUMX:XNUMX).

In 1.49,83:21 minutes, he was three hundredths of a second faster than the new U1.50,56 national champion David Thaler (Ski Team Alta Badia). Second place went to Alois Köllemann Baldini (Vinschger Oberland/1.50,67:18), and third place went to Ivan Kerschbaumer (1.50,68:1.50,97) from SC Gröden.
