Wedding bliss: ski star marries his “Miss”

The ski circus is in wedding fever. Numerous ski aces have tied the knot in the past few days - including a Swiss whiz kid.

Thomas Tumler is the newcomer of the season for the Swiss. At 34 years old, the technology specialist is experiencing a new spring. Last season, the Swiss finished in the top 10 in giant slalom five times and crowned this special winter with third place at the World Cup finals in Saalbach Hinterglemm.

But it's not just sport that goes like clockwork for the veteran. He was also able to celebrate a highlight privately. Last Friday he took his long-time girlfriend Svenja as his wife. Tumler announced this on Instagram. “Miss Tumler,” he captioned the lovely wedding photos, which he decorated with the hashtags “Welcome to the Family” and “My Love.”

The two lovebirds went on their romantic vacation before the wedding. Tumler and his Svenja had a good time in the Maldives and got in the mood for the wedding. The ski star will soon start training for the new season. So the World Cup has a new husband. In the past few days, a few other ski stars have gotten married, for example Kira Weidle or Priska Nufer.
