"Unfortunately, I need a short break after the operation. The procedure went well, but I will miss Adelboden," Zampa wrote on social media on Friday. However, he was combative: "Together with my team, I will do everything I can to come back as quickly as possible." The local hero did not reveal how exactly or where he sustained the injury.
For Zampa, it is not the first time that injuries have thwarted his season plans. In January 2023, the top athlete had to forego a start in Adelboden after suffering a broken ankle and a serious knee injury. This year, the conditions should be better, but the renewed failure has set the athlete back again.
impressive career
Despite these setbacks, Andreas Zampa has had an impressive career. He has been among the top thirty athletes in the World Cup several times and scored important points for the Slovak national team. His strong performance at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where he was one of the few Slovaks to reach the final in the giant slalom and finished 24th, will remain unforgettable. He achieved his best result on the famous course in 2020, when he won the hearts of many fans with 18th place.
Looking forward
Despite the renewed injury, Zampa is not letting himself be defeated. "Smiling is the only way, because soon the sun will shine again," the Slovakian commented on his post. With this positive attitude, both Zampa and his fans hope for a speedy return of the athleteEdit Profile
