Biathlon couple in love: “She’s the romantic one”

When the new biathlon season starts in a month, there will be another biathlon couple attacking. The two ski hunters previously gave intimate insights into their private lives.

They are completely in love and very successful in sports. Yes, Hanna Öberg and Martin Ponsiluoma can truly be described as a dream couple in the biathlon scene. The start of the season last season is unforgettable, when both Öberg and Ponsiluoma won the opening race. “Why I won? “I couldn’t be worse than my friend,” Öberg said at the time with a smile.

As the season continued, the two Swedes continued to cause a sensation. Öberg won four medals at the World Championships in Oberhof, including gold in the individual and mass start. Meanwhile, Ponsiluoma was named vice world champion in the mass start. A double interview published by the International Biathlon Association shows that things are going really well for both of them in their private lives. The duo, who have been together for two years, gave insights into their private lives.

Who chooses the films, who cooks better?

Ponsiluoma explained that he prefers to let Hanna go first when it comes to decorating his house. “She’s doing really well,” he smiles. When it comes to the selection of films, however, it is the other way around, Martin decides. “Because when I choose a film, it usually does something different,” grins Öberg.

There isn't much talk about biathlon in the Ponsiluoma-Öberg house; instead, the conversations revolve around everyday things, such as: "What are we cooking for dinner today?" By the way, Hanna is the better cook, at least that's what her friend Martin says. And who of the two has the greater romantic gene? “Hanna. “She’s the romantic one in our relationship,” says Martin firmly.
