Both the women's and men's ski racers are in trouble for the 2024/25 winter. A good year before the home Olympics in Antholz, the Azzurri are looking for form. The country's best, Lisa Vittozzi, is out for the entire winter due to her back injury. So far, there has not been a single podium finish.
In the men's sprint in Oberhof, Lukas Hofer was the best in 26th place. The Montaler showed a decent running performance, but missed twice in the standing shooting. Tommaso Giacomel is still not living up to his own expectations this year. On Friday, the Trentino native finished 39th with four errors. But Giacomel was even better than the error-free Patrick Braunhofer (40th).
