Double victory for the police sports group in the relay

In the men's relay, Fabio Clementi from the Carabinieri team ran the fastest starting lap and, just ahead of the police sports group, handed over to old champion Giorgio Di Centa. However, the Carabinieri's lead was only short-lived: Dietmar Nöckler put the police sports group in front with the best time of all runners in the second round. Nöckler's teammates Sergio Rigoni and Federico Pellegrino did not relinquish this lead as the race progressed. In the end, the police sports group secured victory ahead of the financial guard, for whom Roland Clara won valuable seconds as the best in the third round, and the army sports group A. While the Carabinieri slipped to fourth place, the forest guard (with Stefan Zelger) took fifth place. South Tyrol's relay teams came in 12th, 21st and 24th. In the women's race, a neck-and-neck race developed right from the start between the police sports group and the financial guard. After the first two rounds failed to decide on places one and two, Ilaria Debertolis from the police sports group made the difference in the final round and secured her team the Italian championship title. Greta Laurent defended second place for the Finanzwache, while the Carabinieri (with Debora Agreiter as the starting runner) completed the podium in third place. South Tyrol's four relay teams finished 15th, 25th, 26th and 29th, respectively.

Trentino and Veneto win in the youth categories The male youth relay race ended with a victory for the team from Trentino. The quartet Tommaso Dellagiacoma, Paolo Ventura, Simone Daprà and Giacomo Gabrielli relegated Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Central Alps to the other podium places. South Tyrol's relay teams finished the competition in 12th, 22nd, 23rd and 26th place. In the female junior relay race, the quartet Anna Comarella, Francesca Corbellari and Chiara De Zolt Ponte from Veneto won the Italian championship title. They left the teams from Trentino and the Aosta Valley behind them. For South Tyrol's relays there were ranks 6, 15 and 18. The distance races will take place tomorrow, Sunday.

Double victory for the police sports group in the relay

On Saturday the Italian cross-country skiing relay championships took place in the “La Viote” cross-country skiing center on Monte Bondone. The titles for both men and women went to the police sports group. In the youth races, the relay teams from Trentino and Veneto prevailed.
