Bad weather cancellation in Stubai

The final of the Ski Freestyle World Cup on the Stubai Glacier was canceled on Friday due to bad weather with squalls.

Because of the unfavorable forecast for the weekend, those responsible also decided to consider the qualification of the slopestyle competition as the final result. This meant that Evan McEachran from Canada was able to celebrate the victory. Mac Forehand and Alexander Hall from the USA landed behind him on the podium.

From a South Tyrolean perspective, the freestyle start had already gone wrong. Val Gardena's Renè Monteleone didn't get past 26th place in the second qualifying group and so didn't qualify for the final on Friday morning. We continue next week with the second Big Air of the season in Beijing.
