Swiss Olympic champion makes unexpected comeback
Swiss halfpipe Olympic champion Iouri Podladtchikov is returning to the international competition stage – four and a half years after his retirement.

The 36-year-old retired in August 2020 and is now competing in the Snowboard World Cup in Laax. He is aiming to take part in the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina next winter.
"I have recently spent as much time in the snow as in my best days," emphasised the Zurich native. Podladtchikov won Olympic gold in Sochi in 2014.
