Nadya Ochner: “I can’t be a snowboard professional like that”

She let the news out into the world around 20 p.m. last night - and it was quite something: Nadya Ochner has announced her retirement as a professional snowboarder. On Thursday, December 14th, the 30-year-old will give her farewell performance at the home race at Karerpass/Carezza, then after 109 World Cup races it will be over.

Dolomiten editor Andreas Vieider discussed Nadya Ochner's sudden resignation with the athlete herself. In the interview she talks about her experiences in the World Cup, her decision to retire and her plans for the future.
