Serious knee injury overshadows Carezza's successes

The Snowboard World Cup in Carezza ended up being a big celebration for the Azzurri. In addition to the double victory of Maurizio Bormolini and Edwin Coratti, the farewell of Nadya Ochner was also duly celebrated. But there are not only good things to report from Carezza, because Marc Hofer from Passiria was seriously injured.

The snowboard show in Carezza was overshadowed by Marc Hofer's serious injury. The soon-to-be 26-year-old (Hofer's birthday is on St. Stephen's Day) tore a cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee during qualifying. The season is over for the snowboarder from St. Martin in Passeier.

“It twisted me strangely and then collapsed me into a hole,” Hofer told the Tagblatt Dolomites. Hofer was already seen on Thursday evening in the Gardena Sports Clinic by specialist Dr. Arnold Gurndin operated.
