Sierra Nevada: Early exit for Omar Visintin

Omar Visintin had to retire early from the Boardercross World Cup in Sierra Nevada (ESP). The victory went to a Frenchman.

Already in the 1/16 final it was over for Visintin from Algunder. That makes 33rd place in the final rankings. The best Azzurro in Sierra Nevada was Lorenzo Sommariva (10th), followed by Tommaso Leoni (19th). The victory went to the Frenchman Merlin Surget, who prevailed in the final against Eliot Grondin (CAN/2nd) and Jakob Dusek (AUT/3rd).

There was an Italian victory in the women's event. Michela Moioli was the fastest in the final and won ahead of Josie Baff (AUS/2nd) and Charlotte Banks (GBR/3rd). The Italians Sofia Belingheri (18th) and Caterina Carpano (19th) also made it into the top 20.
