Great emotions in Carezza: “I enjoyed it”

A double victory for the men, a moving farewell for the women: the World Cup on the Carezza Pass had a lot to offer for Italy's national snowboard team.

It was a grand finale that the Azzurri fought at the foot of the Latemar: Edwin Coratti and Maurizio Bormolini dueled for the World Cup victory in the last run - with the better ending for the Trentino native.

“This is unbelievable, it’s my first victory in a parallel giant slalom!” Bormolini cheered after the race. He added: “We are simply a very strong team in which many athletes can compete at the front.”

“It’s much nicer when a teammate wins.” Edwin Coratti

The defeated Coratti agreed with him: “We duel regularly in training, that motivates us. It's simply much nicer when a teammate wins in the World Cup than any other starter. I've been tinkering a lot with the material lately. Not everything went smoothly, but in the end I made it to the final.”

In addition to Langtauferer, Nadya Ochner also shone brightly in the finish area - even though she was eliminated in the quarter-finals. It was the last World Cup appearance of her career. In the following video she summarizes her impressions.
