Vötter and Oberhofer honored in Meransen

On Sunday, the luge athletes Andrea Vötter and Marion Oberhofer were honored in Meransen. The reason for this was the numerous successes in the past winter season in the World Cup.

Victory in the overall World Cup for doubles, sprint world champions and so on: The past World Cup season was a complete success for the doubles duo Andrea Vötter and Marion Oberhofer. Because both have a connection to Meransen (Vötter lives there, Oberhofer comes from the village) they were honored on Sunday.

The honor was organized by the Sharks Meransen fan club and the Meransen and Rodeneck sports clubs. In addition to many fans and sponsors, there were numerous guests of honor from politics and sport, such as State Councilor Magdalena Amhof, toboggan boss Armin Zöggeler and representatives of the army sports group. Martin Oberhofer (President of the Sharks fan club) and Hermann Überbacher (President of the Rodeneck sports club) hosted the evening.
