Dramatic game: Chiefs celebrate second victory

The Kansas City Chiefs won their second NFL game of the season in dramatic fashion.

The team, led by stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, secured a 33-30 overtime victory against the Indianapolis Colts. Kelce, much to the delight of his wife Taylor Swift, who watched from the stands, threw a touchdown pass and gained 101 yards. Quarterback Mahomes impressed with three touchdown passes and a total of 382 passing yards.

A close refereeing decision in overtime caused quite a stir. Initially, the officials ruled the play a fumble – which would have given Kansas City the win. However, after several minutes of review, the referees reversed their decision: they ruled play over before the ball was lost because Colts player Laquon Treadwell had been touched on the ground by a Chiefs player. The Colts thus retained possession and tied the game with a field goal.

Burrow on course

The Houston Texans, however, must continue to wait for their first win of the season. They lost their home game against the Cincinnati Bengals 6-20. For the Bengals, led by quarterback Joe Burrow, it was their second win in as many games this season. Receiver Ja'Marr Chase scored two touchdowns – his first catch, in particular, demonstrated why he is considered one of the league's best receivers.

In Tampa Bay, fans had to wait more than two hours for the final two minutes of the game between the home team, the Buccaneers, and the Cleveland Browns – lightning and thunder caused a 132-minute interruption. After the long delay, the Buccaneers, led by quarterback Baker Mayfield, couldn't capitalize on their final offensive drive to turn the game around and lost to the Browns, led by quarterback Deshaun Watson, 19-23.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints pulled off a comeback victory against the favored Baltimore Ravens. Two touchdowns in the final quarter gave the Saints a 24-17 win after trailing 9-17 at one point. The Philadelphia Eagles' 24-20 victory over the Tennessee Titans was also a nail-biter, as the visitors only regained the lead with nine seconds remaining. The Eagles had previously led 17-10 before relinquishing their advantage.

Bears and Commanders lose quarterbacks

In Chicago, the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Bears 9-3. After last week's offensive spectacle, when the Bears scored 59 points against the Carolina Panthers, they struggled to find their rhythm this time, struggling with difficult weather conditions and rain. Adding insult to injury for Bears fans, quarterback Caleb Williams had to leave the field injured in the fourth quarter.

The Washington Commanders are also worried about their quarterback. Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow. He missed the second half of last season with the same injury. Marcus Mariota took his place, but couldn't prevent the 20-37 loss to the Cowboys.
