Speeding more than 100 km/h over the limit: NFL pro arrested

NFL player Nolan Smith of the Philadelphia Eagles was briefly arrested for speeding and reckless driving.

The Twiggs County Sheriff's Office in Georgia confirmed the incident to ESPN. According to the office, the incident occurred on May 15th but was only recently made public. Smith has already been released on bail.

According to police records, Smith was clocked at the equivalent of 217 km/h instead of the permitted 112 km/h. The defensive player will have to answer for the incident in court; a date has already been set, according to the sheriff's office.
