Texans reach playoffs, Pittsburgh hopes

The Houston Texans have reached the playoffs in the National Football League (NFL). The Pittsburgh Steelers, on the other hand, remain in the race for the “postseason”.

In the duel with direct rivals Indianapolis Colts, the team led by quarterback rookie CJ Stroud won 23:19 (14:6) on Saturday (local time) and has reached the wildcard round next weekend. The decision was made just under five minutes before the end with a touchdown from Texans professional Devin Singletary. The Colts, on the other hand, missed the playoffs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers still have a playoff chance after a 17:10 (7:7) win over the already qualified Baltimore Ravens. However, the Steelers need help to make it to the coveted next round. Only if the Buffalo Bills (at the Miami Dolphins) or the Jacksonville Jaguars (at the Tennessee Titans) lose on Sunday (local time) would the season continue for coach Mike Tomlin's team. However, the Steelers will probably have to do without top star TJ Watt. The defensive specialist is at risk of being out for several weeks after suffering a knee injury on Saturday.
