Yasmine Hamza: No one in South Tyrol has ever been as good as her

Yasmine Hamza from Bolzano is the most successful South Tyrolean badminton player of all time. And she is only 21 years old.

The two-set victory over Frenchwoman Mayla Hoareau at the Estonian International last week was a very special one for Hamza. The 21-year-old has now won 100 world ranking tournaments. The Bozen native is ranked 140th in the world rankings.

Yasmine Hamza is continuing her way back into the top 100 in the world rankings. At the Estonian International (International Series category) she reached the round of 140 before losing to the Dane Anna Siess Ryberg. This not only moved her up to 100th place in the world rankings, but also made her the first South Tyrolean to achieve 2028 victories in the main draw of a world ranking tournament. Hamza's goal is to qualify for the XNUMX Olympic Games. She missed the Paris Games because of a torn cruciate ligament.

The South Tyroleans with the most wins:

Yasmine Hamza 100 wins / 71 losses (68 wins in singles, 32 in doubles)
Klaus Raffeiner 73/122
David Salutt 64/70
