Alps Ice Academy: South Tyrol's young talent takes the plunge

Twelve years after the debut of HCB Südtirol Alperia in the ICE Hockey League, a South Tyrolean youth team is also venturing over the Brenner Pass for the first time and is breaking new ground by participating in the U18 League.

In the summer of 2013, HCB Südtirol Alperia took the plunge and ensured that Italy was represented for the first time on the map of the multinational championship ICE Hockey League (ICEHL), then known as the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL). Twelve years later, a South Tyrolean youth team is also breaking new ground.
