Even the younger Oberrauch remains a Ritten resident.

Alongside Alex Oberrauch, his younger brother Max Oberrauch will also remain with the Rittner Buam SkyAlps. The 18-year-old will be entering his second season with the blue-and-red team.

Like his linemate Paul Innerhofer, he earned 43 appearances last season through his dedicated performance. He also scored his first goal and his first assist during those games. After the Ritten Buam were eliminated in the pre-playoffs, Oberrauch was loaned to the farm team SV Kaltern for the playoffs, and the 18-year-old later won the Italian Hockey League title with the Hechte (Pikes).

The Oberrauch brother, two years younger, possesses similar qualities to his older brother Alex: he is fast, agile, aggressive, and tenacious in challenges. This makes him a particularly dangerous weapon in forechecking, a tactic expected to be effective again next season.

“Max Oberrauch is an excellent skater who is very tenacious and therefore an unpleasant opponent. Last season was his first on the Alps roster. He should take another step forward this year,” sports directors Dan Tudin and Alexander Eisath are convinced of the younger Oberrauch brother's potential.
