Borgatello stays in Merano: "We can achieve positive things"

HC Meran can continue to rely on Christian Borgatello in the future: The head coach has extended his contract and will therefore remain behind the bench of the Eagles.

Under Borgatello's leadership, the spa town team achieved something historic last year. Reaching the Alps Hockey League final was the greatest success in the club's recent history. Now, the team aims to consistently continue on this path and further advance its athletic development.

Borgatello himself is also optimistic about the future. The coach emphasizes the excellent cooperation between the club, coaching staff, and players as a key factor in their success. "I'm very happy about the contract extension because we have a very good working relationship between the club, the coach, and the players. Our goal is to further the positive development of the team and my own personal growth," Borgatello explains.

Borgatello has something planned in Merano

The opportunity to continue working at his hometown club is particularly emotional for him. The former player sees it as an honor to contribute his national and international experience to the club. "If we all pull together, we can achieve a lot of positive things," Borgatello added.

With the contract extension, the Eagles are creating clarity on the coaching position early on and at the same time sending a clear signal for stability and ambitious goals in the coming season.
