The AlpsHL schedule is here

It's still a while until it happens, but the schedule is increasing the anticipation for the new season in the Alps Hockey League. On Monday, the league announced how the regular season will be played in the fall.

One thing to note: There will be no South Tyrolean duel at the start! The new AlpsHL season begins on September 21st (that's a Saturday). KHL Sisak is the first Croatian club to take part, and 5 clubs from South Tyrol will be taking part in the season.

underland starts with a home game against Cortina and thus has a real benchmark on the first match day. The Wipptal Broncos will face the Steel Wings from Linz – also at home. Away games, however, are for Val Gardena and Merano on the program. While the Furie will travel to Kitzbühel, the Meraner Adler have to travel to HK Celje in Slovenia. The reigning champion ride does not play on the 1st matchday, but instead faces HC Meran on the 2nd matchday.

New mode

There will be changes in the game format in the coming season. After 39 regular season games (3 against each opponent), 5 teams will be in the playoff quarterfinals. Places 6 to 11 will be decided in a pre-playoff (as seen in the ICE Hockey League). There will therefore no longer be a master and qualification round.
