A disastrous 65 seconds broke Meran

Meran had already lost 1-8 to Red Bull Salzburg Juniors on November 2st. In the second leg on Tuesday evening, the Eagles couldn't cope with the Austrians at all and lost again by a large margin (6:XNUMX).

Actually, the game would have started so well in the city of Mozart. Before everyone had even sat down in the seats of the ice arena in Salzburg, the score was already 1-0 for the Adler. Joseph Garreffa (3.02) caught the home team, who were sleeping at the start, ice cold after about three minutes and netted the early lead. But as a result, the evening in Austria turned into a nightmare for the people of Meran. Just a little later, Kalle Eemil Myllymaa (8.49) equalized - then the Kurstadters completely fell apart.

While at one moment it was still 1:1, 65 seconds later the scoreboard suddenly showed a 1:4 deficit against Meran. What happened? The Red Bull players got into the game better and better, suddenly every encore and every shot on goal was right. Julius Ramoser increased the home team's score to 2:1 (14.35), Maximilian Wurzer to 3:1 (15.14) and David Cerniks 4:1 (15.40) ended the South Tyroleans' horror minute with their third goal within 65 seconds. The people of Merano looked at each other perplexed, but before the saving third break there was the icing on the cake for the Bulls when Myllymaa scored again to make it 5-1.

No fuss

However, only a third had been played. Shortly after the restart, Daniels Murnieks finally hit the Meran ice hockey heart with his 6:1 (21.06). This clear lead and the Eagles' hanging heads meant that the rest of the game didn't really take place. Salzburg went back two or three times and enjoyed the lead, while Meran tried unsuccessfully to get back into the game. Calder Anderson (53.50) only managed a slight cosmetic result with his 2:6.
