The wall in the Rittner Tor remains standing

For many, he's the best goalie in the league: Colin Furlong. Now it's certain that the Canadian will stay at his current place of work.

Colin Furlong has been in South Tyrol for seven years now, and he's already established himself here. Now he's embarking on another season with the Rittner Buam.

During his time at HC Pustertal, Furlong met his current partner, Carmen, with whom he has a son. The fact that they didn't want to let him go is demonstrated by the catch rates he delivered, first with the Wolves, then for two years with HC Gherdëina, and now with the Rittner Buam.

The goalie, born on March 24, 1993, in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, continues to thrive, especially in the playoffs. After last season with the Rittner Buam SkyAlps, he posted a 92,1 percent save percentage in the Alps Hockey League—and that wasn't even his best season. His monster saves are also always a treat for the spectators, whom the 32-year-old regularly amazes.

Rittner are “proud to see him in the Buam jersey”

Dan Tudin and Alexander Eisath, the two sports directors of the Rittner Buam SkyAlps, are accordingly delighted with this confirmation: "Through his consistent work on himself – on and off the ice – he has developed into a true leader in the locker room. With his calm and balanced manner, he brings the necessary stability to our defense," the two praise the Canadian, adding: "We are proud to see Colin back in the Buam jersey and know that we can continue to count on him."
