The HCG's test match program was announced last week. The first friendly match against Cortina will take place on August 13th. The first official team training is scheduled for August 26th. That's when Karter Prosofsky will lace up his skates for the first time in Selva. "Karter brings the necessary toughness to our game," emphasizes sports director Joel Brugnoli. "He is not afraid of a duel and can also make an impact on offense, as we have seen in the WHL in recent years." Prosofsky will wear number 55 for the Furie.
The 1,78 meter tall and 80 kilogram defender made his debut in the Western Hockey League (WHL) at the age of 15, which is one of the three major youth leagues in Canada alongside the OHL and the QMJHL. He was signed by the Winnipeg Ice in 2019 and played four seasons for the club. The team was sold in June 2023 and relocated to Wenatchee in the state of Washington.
No child of sadness
"Prosofsky has really blossomed in his new home, collecting 49 points (15 goals) and a +36 statistic last season. The Canadian also received 120 penalty minutes, which underlines his status as a tough guy. The right-handed shooter will also demonstrate his qualities, such as his wit and toughness, in the Furie's jersey," the club concluded.Edit Profile
