Youngster stays with the Broncos

Jonas Kerschbaumer will also play for the Wipptal Broncos next season and strengthen the blue-whites' attack.

The 21-year-old has played for the Wipptal Broncos since his youth, progressing through all of the Broncos' youth categories. In the 2021/22 season, Kerschbaumer gained his first IHL experience with the Brixen Falcons. With 3 goals and 5 assists in 21 games, the Wipptal native made a strong impression and was given the opportunity to play for the Wipptal Broncos later that same season.

In the following season, Kerschbaumer continued to commute between Brixen and Sterzing, playing more frequently for the Brixen-based team. Since the 2024/25 season, number 79 has played exclusively for the Broncos. Jonas Kerschbaumer has amassed 132 appearances in the Alps Hockey League (1 goal, 4 assists), 54 appearances in the IHL (16 points), and one appearance at the U18 World Championship with Italy.
