Michael Levin, 20 years old and born in Tel Aviv, will wear the black and white Adler jersey in the future. The agile winger, who holds both Israeli and Canadian passports, began his career in Canadian junior leagues, where he played in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), one of the best junior leagues in the world, from 2022 to 2025. There, he tallied 69 points in 135 games.
Last year, the 173 cm tall and 71 kg forward played for CSM Corona Brasov in Romania alongside his older brother David, who led the team in scoring. The 20-year-old Levin has been a member of the Israeli national team for three years. He has scored 16 points in 13 games for Israel at three previous World Championships. Now he is making the move to the Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL).
Is his brother coming too?
“It is an honor for me to sign with HC Meran and I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to be part of this organization. I am excited to get to know the fans this season,” said Levin in an initial statement. It's quite possible that his brother David will also move to the spa town. The 26-year-old was close to signing with the AlpsHL in the past. With 58 points in 29 games, he dominated the Hungarian-Romanian First League last season.
