Ritten: Three youngsters stay and a new one comes
The Ritten defense isn't just made up of experienced veterans; young guns have also carved out a niche for themselves. Florian Plattner will continue to be Furlong's backup in goal, while Hannes Uffelmann and Jano Ramoser are also still on board in defense. And a new addition is Mattia Clericuzio, a young Algund native who also played a few games on the Ritten last season.

The oldest of them, and therefore the longest-serving player, is Hannes Uffelmann. The 22-year-old Rittner, born in 2002, has been part of the Rittner Buam SkyAlps squad since the 2020/21 season and has consistently made appearances for the Blue-Reds since then. Last season, the defender made 30 appearances for the Buam. Backup goalie Florian Plattner, who was occasionally allowed to fill in for Colin Furlong and performed very well, made 13 appearances. Despite his young age of 20 (born in 2005), he boasts a save percentage of almost 90 percent.
Mattia Clericuzio, who was originally scheduled to play the 2024/25 season with SV Kaltern Rothoblaas in the IHL, made four appearances. Since the Hechte were the farm team of the Rittner Buam SkyAlps, Clericuzio was able to step in when a player was needed on the high plateau. Although only 20 years old, the defenseman, born in 2005, performed very well, making optimal use of his tall frame and even recording his first assist. The youngest of the four youngsters is Jano Ramoser. The 18-year-old, born in 2006, primarily played for the Junior Buam U19 team last season, but also made two appearances for the Rittner Buam SkyAlps. He is likely to make even more appearances in the future.

This is also emphasized by the two Ritten sports directors, Dan Tudin and Alexander Eisath: "The goal on Ritten is and remains to give young Ritten ice hockey players the chance to join our ice hockey club's first team. Florian Plattner and Hannes Uffelmann have already established themselves in recent years, are constantly learning, and will continue on their path. Mattia Clericuzio performed well in his appearances last season, and we are pleased that he is now a permanent member of our team. Jano Ramoser, on the other hand, is still a very young player who can learn new things in the coming season and thus earn a permanent spot in the squad."
