As the club announced on Thursday, the 19-year-old Villi Pisetta a two-year contract was signed. In addition, the Finn was Niko Nissilä He was signed to a contract. Even during his youth, which Pisetta spent in Neumarkt and Auer, he was highly regarded. He immediately lived up to expectations. At just 17 years old, he scored his first goal in the Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL). His development continued rapidly over the last two seasons. He shone last season with 15 points.
"His greatest strengths lie in his speed, agility, and good understanding of the game. With great feel for the puck and good vision, the young forward knows how to create dangerous situations in front of the opponent's goal," the Cavs wrote in a press release.
A Finn is supposed to mix concrete.
The 21-year-old Niko Nissilä, on the other hand, is expected to provide the necessary defensive stability. "He is considered a defenseman with a good physical presence who performs reliably both defensively and offensively," is how the Cavaliers describe him. In his career so far, he has played 151 games in the top Finnish U20 league. He also has international experience with the Finnish junior national teams: He played six times in exhibition games for Finland's U20 and U19 squads. He has also gained valuable experience at the senior level. In addition to two appearances in the top Finnish league, the Liiga, he played six games in the Mestis, Finland's second-highest division, where he recorded three points. With Nissilä's signing, the Cavaliers now have four foreign players on their roster. However, because the Finn is an under-22 player, Unterland can still sign one more foreign player of that age.
