Unterland brings in a Lithuanian for defense

The Unterland Cavaliers signed their third foreign player on Monday. He hails from Lithuania and shares similarities with Erik and Marek Potsinok, who were signed by the club just last week.

Last week, the Cavaliers announced the signing of Erik and Marek Potsinok, who are Estonians but learned to play hockey in Finland. Artur Seniut has taken a similar path. The 21-year-old was born in Vilnius but left his hometown at the age of 16 to play alongside the Potsinoks in the Vaasan Sport youth team.

Over the past five seasons, he has played in all categories and even made his debut in the Finnish top division. However, he made just one appearance. Last season, he made 43 appearances for the club's U20 team, scoring 14 points. Seniut is also a member of the Lithuanian national team, with whom he achieved promotion to the second division in April.

Squad complete

Seniut, who is 1,88 meters tall and weighs 87 kilograms, is expected to lead the Cavaliers' young defense and provide stability in the new season. With two goalies, seven defensemen, and 13 forwards, the Unterland roster is now complete. However, two foreign player positions could still be filled.
