Wipptal Broncos sign US goalie

The Wipptal Broncos announced the signing of an American goalie on Tuesday evening.

Jarrett Fiske, born in Erie, Pennsylvania, came up through the American college hockey system, making a name for himself primarily in the NCAA. After several years at American International College (AIC), he developed into one of the best goaltenders in the Atlantic Hockey Association.

In 2023, he was named Goaltender of the Year and won several conference championships with his team. He then transferred to Niagara University, where he impressed with strong performances and a save percentage of over 91 percent. His outstanding season even earned him a nomination for the prestigious Hobey-Baker Award.

European experience in tow

Fiske took his first steps in the professional field with the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL, before venturing to Europe and playing for the Dundee Stars in the British Elite Ice Hockey League.

With the signing of Jarrett Fiske, the Wipptal Broncos gain a tall and technically skilled goalie who is expected to provide the team with additional stability. "The Broncos warmly welcome Jarrett and wish him a successful and injury-free season in Wipptal," the press release stated.
