Hockey Club Gherdëina is ready to go after signing Christopher Bettega and Jan Frenademez and extending Tommy Delucca's contract.

Sporting director Joel Brugnoli has found what he was looking for in his search for young, up-and-coming talents. Christopher Bettega and Jan Frenademez will showcase their talent at HCG in the future. Tommy Delucca will also remain part of the team.

“With Bettega and Frenademez, two promising young players are getting the chance to establish themselves in the Alps Hockey League. They will learn a lot through plenty of ice time. Delucca, on the other hand, is a very hard-working player who always gives 100 percent,” says Brugnoli.

Two 19-year-olds get a chance at the AlpsHL

The 19-year-old Bettega learned to play ice hockey with his hometown club, the Fassa Falcons. He gained his first experience in adult ice hockey in 2024 playing for the Furie in the IHL Division I. Last season, the skilled defenseman was called up to the Falcons' first team for the first time, promptly scoring two goals.

Frenademez, also from Val Badia and the same age, took his first steps with HC Pustertal before making his debut in the Italian Hockey League for the Falcons Brixen in 2024. That same season, he also represented Italy at the U18 World Championship and earned his first appearances in the AlpsHL. Most recently, the right-handed shooter played for the Toblach Icebears, but also made five appearances for Cortina in the AlpsHL.
