Robert Stafler is delighted about the extension with Mitch Pohl: "Mitch has already done an excellent job in his first year, and we are looking forward to realizing the ambitious plans for our youth department together with him. We are already on a good track However, we are still miles away from training that is common in Germany or Switzerland, for example. His experience as a player at the highest level and his professional attitude are priceless for our young athletes, and he also knows how to convey these values without taking away the fun of ice hockey from children and young people. Not everyone is interested in a career in ice hockey or has what it takes, and Mitch knows how to take these players with him and for that to inspire a common goal."

Alex Gschliesser's position also remains unchanged. His contract with the Sterzing sports high school expires on September 1st, but the extension is likely to be a mere formality. In any case, both Gschliesser and WSV Vipiteno want to continue working together and therefore it will not be difficult to find an agreement.

However, it was agreed with Oly Hicks to re-discuss the two-year contract signed at Christmas at the end of next season in order to create a fair situation for both sides should the goal of promotion be missed by participating in Serie A2.

The contract was also extended for the next season with goalkeeper and youth coach Kevin Reiter, who is not only important for the first team but is also extremely popular with the children and has established himself well in the club.

In the first team, the biggest problem, apart from undeniable technical difficulties, was that the players almost without exception did not know how to deal with a situation in which the defeats piled up and in which the mood in the dressing room wasn't always the best. With a few exceptions, none of these players have ever experienced more defeats than victories in a season, and there have been a lot recently "We're going to do everything we can to start the new season with a clean sheet of paper, so to speak."

Some organizational changes were also made to create the conditions for optimal communication between the team, coaching team and board.
