From the Japanese ranks, however, Yuri Terao, the four-time goalscorer of the match, was convincing. His four goals brought the Asian team level. However, thanks to the goal from Pustertaler Daniel Glira in extra time, Italy retained the upper hand in this encounter and secured early relegation.
