The countdown has begun: 50 days until the Dolomitencup

Swimming pool instead of ice rinks: That's the common motto in this high summer time. But it won't be long now before it gets really hot again in the oval ice temples. In exactly 50 days the 18th edition of the Dolomitencup will take place in Neumarkt/South Tyrol.

From August 16th to 18th, many international ice hockey celebrities will once again be flocking to the Würtharena in Neumarkt. That is when the Dolomitencup will take place, the notorious ice hockey preparation tournament that attracts teams and fans from all over Europe every year. This summer, the classic event will be held for the 18th time.

The upcoming edition has a clear motto: Welcome back! With the EHC Kloten (National League/Switzerland), the HC Kometa Brno (Extraliga/Czech Republic), the HC Pustertal (ICE Hockey League) and the Löwen Frankfurt (DEL/Germany), four teams are coming to the south of South Tyrol to fight for the coveted trophy again after a few years of absence.

Top-class ice hockey is guaranteed: On Friday, August 16th, Kloten and Kometa Brno will meet in the first semi-final, and on Saturday, August 17th, HC Pustertal and Löwen Frankfurt will face each other in the second duel. On Sunday, August 18th, the traditional final day of the Dolomitencup will take place.

Numerous spectators are expected again this year, and the Würtharena is, as expected, always filled to the last seat.
