Last year's finalists were welcomed to their home ground by a good-sized crowd who didn't want to miss the team's first appearance. They not only caught a glimpse of the new players, including David Farrance, Gunnarwolfe Fontaine, and Gerry Fitzgerald, but also got a look at the new pre-season jerseys. These feature, among other things, the Rienz River, Bruneck Castle, and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks).

After Managing Director Jochen Schenk gave a short speech, Tommy Purdeller and his teammates trained hard under the guidance of Jason Jaspers. The real test comes on Friday in Latsch against DEL club Ingolstadt as part of the Vinschgau Cup. On Sunday, the Wolves will then face Czech first-division team HC Litvinov.
