For the second time in their young ICE history, the black and yellow qualified for the playoffs. In 2022, HC Pustertal was put in its place by Hydro Fehervar with a sweep (0:4). This year the situation looks completely different. The HCP made it 3-3 in the series against the Hungarians on Wednesday in the Intercable Arena at home and thus forced game 7, which will be played on Saturday (17.30 p.m.) in Szekesfehervar.
The Wolves could qualify for the playoff semi-finals of the ICE Hockey League for the first time. But that would require the first away win in the series against Fehervar. The Wolves have not yet managed to do this in the pre-playoffs or in the quarter-finals. Therefore the motto is: now or never!
By the way, HC Pustertal is organizing a public viewing event in the Intercable Arena on Saturday. Admission is from 17.15:XNUMX p.m. Admission is free. SportNews will accompany the Wolves' decisive appearance on Saturday with a live ticker. The HCP could become the second South Tyrolean ICE club after HC Bozen to qualify for the semi-finals.
