The all-rounder remains: Bolzano's team is taking shape
Back in 2016, Luca Frigo first donned the HCB Südtirol Alperia jersey. Since then, the striker from Piedmont has become a fixture at the Foxes. Fans can look forward to seeing his qualities again next season.

The upcoming season will be Luca Frigo's tenth in the South Tyrolean capital. The transformation the international has undergone in recent years is remarkable. From a reserve player, the Italian has advanced to one of the most important, most complete, and most consistent players in the Foxes squad. Regardless of the game situation, Frigo is always a starting starter.
Last season, the 32-year-old collected an incredible 30 points in 46 regular season games. Frigo has never been so accurate in the ICE Hockey League. Although he faltered somewhat in the playoffs, his importance to the Foxes remains immeasurable – not least because of his defensive strength.
A core of the team
Frigo enjoyed his training at his hometown club, Valpellice, for which he made his Serie A debut at the age of 16. From 2012 to 2014, he then embarked on a two-year adventure in the USA before returning to Valpellice and moving to Scandinavia in 2015. However, his stint in the Swedish third division lasted only one season. He was subsequently signed by HC Bolzano. This marked the beginning of a success story that culminated in the 2018 championship title. Will play in the CHL again this year: Luca Frigo. © HC Bozen
"Playing my tenth season with HCB is a great honor for me," explains Frigo. "The affection of the fans, the appreciation of the club, and the ambition of the team – all of this has strengthened this bond and made Bolzano my home. In recent years, we've narrowly missed our ultimate goal several times, which has only made our hunger even greater."
"We must fully utilize this drive in the coming season: The club is once again assembling a top-class team that will compete in two prestigious competitions. We will proceed step by step, laying brick upon brick to get where we want to be. We expect you at the stadium – your support will be crucial, as always," Frigo continued.
Squad planning almost complete
With Frigo's extension, Bolzano's roster now includes ten forwards, five defensemen, and two goaltenders. With just a few more changes to make, the Foxes are ready for the new season, which begins on August 29th with a Champions Hockey League away game against top Swedish club Frölunda.Edit Profile
