A former Vienna Capitals striker is moving to Bolzano.

HC Bozen unpacks the transfer hammer

HCB Südtirol Alperia has pushed forward its transfer planning for the coming ICE season. The Foxes brought a top-class player with league experience to the Talferstadt.

Matt Bradley was already a hot topic on Galvanistrasse in Bolzano last summer. A year later the time has come: the 27-year-old center moves to HC Bozen.

Bradley came to Europe from overseas for the first time in the spring of 2022 after playing mostly in the WHL and ECHL. The striker immediately made an impact with the Vienna Capitals and scored 30 points in his first half of the year. In his first full season (2022/23) in Vienna, Bradley even scored 74 points (30 goals and 44 assists).

ICE top scorer

That's why Bradley moved to the Straubing Tigers in the DEL in the summer of 2023. The Italian-Canadian even made it to the playoff semi-finals with the Bavarian club. In total, Bradley scored 19 points in the top German league. Now the former top scorer is returning to the ICE Hockey League and is supposed to lead HC Bozen to its first championship since 2018.

“I know how beautiful South Tyrol is, but above all I am looking forward to playing in front of such passionate fans in such an impressive stadium. Since I have Italian roots, I’m particularly looking forward to exploring my origins even better,” says Bradley happily

The previous HCB squad:

Gate: Samuel Harvey (confirmed).

Defense: Dylan Di Perna (confirmed), Jason Seed, Peter Spornberger (both new),

Attack: Daniel Mantenuto, Dustin Gazley (both confirmed), Anthony Salinitri, Matt Bradley (both new)
