The next Wolf moves to a league competitor

It had been clear for some time that Wyatt Ege would be leaving HC Pustertal after two seasons. On Tuesday it was finally announced that the American was joining a league competitor.

First Arvin Atwal, now Wyatt Ege: The Canadian's move to the Green Dragons was already a done deal, but Ege is the latest new signing for the Slovenians, who will probably have a say in a position in the top 6 next season. In addition to the former HCP cracks, other strong players such as Robert Sabolic and Blaz Tomazevic have moved to the Slovenian capital.

Ege showed fluctuating performances in the colors of the HCP last season. Although he was a factor offensively with 21 points, he also had defensive lapses that led the club management to refrain from extending his contract. In the colors of the Slovenians, the 29-year-old now wants to show that this was a wrong decision.

Also reunited with Pavlin

"Ege is a very good skater and a dynamic defensive player who is characterized by his fast game," says managing director Anze Ulcar. "This is exactly what we were looking for. We have received a lot of positive feedback about his character and personality from his former teammates and coaches. He also played one season alongside our captain Žiga Pavlin, with whom he got on very well. Ege is the last piece of the puzzle of our team."
