Even Rolly Benvenuti, Hubi Gasser, Robert Oberrauch, and Martin Pavlu clapped their hands enthusiastically. Right before the eyes of the four HCB legends, whose jersey numbers were ceremoniously raised to the rafters before the match. The Foxes thrilled fans with a 6-3 victory against former serial champions Red Bull Salzburg. It was a show after the show for the more than 3.000 spectators.

The ceremony honoring the four former Bolzano captains began in the afternoon, and the current ice hockey players – especially the strong double-goal scorer – provided the conclusion to this memorable Bolzano ice hockey Sunday in the early evening. Turner Elson as well as the oldest and youngest players in the Foxes squad: Dustin Gazley and Nicolò Remolato.

Remolato strikes again

Dustin Gazley, 38 years old on October 3rd, shone with a goal and two superb assists. Nicolò Remolato, 17 years younger, added another. his dream debut on Friday After his third goal of the season – the arena erupted again! It's not all sunshine and roses yet. But one thing is certain: a breath of fresh air is blowing through HC Bozen.

Four U24 players were on the Foxes' roster on Sunday. Noah Frick (19) and Jakob Fuchs (23) were on the bench, while – besides Remolato – Enrico Larcher (22) also received significant ice time. He was even used during crucial phases of the game – as was Daniel Gellon (25).

Elson shines, Domingue holds back

The young Bolzano players contributed to the Salzburg Bulls' dizzying performance on the ice. After their 1-7 opening loss against Klagenfurt, they came out aggressive and physical in Bolzano, sometimes even overly so. Once Bolzano turned around a 1-2 deficit, the visitors were outmatched. Whenever they managed to break through, they were met by Bolzano's new star goalie. Louis Domingue usually with spectacular saves in the way.

A concentrated dose of emotions:

Ice hockey? No, boxing! At first, it's not ice hockey they're playing, it's ice hockey fighting. In the first ten minutes alone, the players from both sides clash four times. The most ferocious fights involve Daniel Mantenuto and Benjamin Nissner, as well as Turner Elson and Peter Hochkofler.
Fire free! But it wasn't just gloves that fell, goals were scored too: Isaac Radcliffe, assisted by Gazley, put HCB ahead 1-0 (2nd minute). Then it was Salzburg's turn: Nick Poisson scored after a mistake by Turner Elson during the power play (6th minute), then Nash Nienhuis, on a power play, slipped behind Carmine Buono and scored to make it 2-1 for the visitors (16th minute).
McClure tickles WukovitsBolzano got serious in the second period! First, Dustin Gazley equalized on the power play (22nd minute), then Brad McClure sent the fans into a frenzy. He pushed the puck across the line from close range, turned around, and flashed a grin at Ali Wukovits, who had just pushed him. The scorer of the 3-2 goal was sent to the penalty box for this.
“Remolato olè, olè”Turner Elson scored to make it 4-2 after a perfect pass from Gazley on the power play (34th minute), but the real party was yet to come – when the true Bolzano native Nicolò Remolato scored to make it 5-2 with a solo counter-attack that delighted the Bolzano fans (36th minute). The result? Chants of "Remolato!" echoed through the arena.
Elson makes everything clearSalzburg did manage to close the gap to 3-5 in the final period, but the game never became truly exciting – especially after Elson's empty-net goal made it 6-3 and restored the lead (57th minute). The newly revamped HCB was then cheered and celebrated for several minutes.

After two games, HC Bozen is one of four teams still undefeated. Klagenfurt also has six points. which defeated HC Pustertal 3-2, as well as league newcomer Milan. They celebrated a 4-0 shutout victory in Linz.
