Emotional playoff start: KAC wins for Jordan Murray

On Sunday, KAC won the rematch of the cancelled opening quarter-final game of the ICE League against Fehervar in the Heidi-Horten-Arena.

Klagenfurt secured a 3-0 victory five days after Jordan Murray collapsed and was resuscitated following a cardiac arrest. The goals in front of 4.400 fans were scored by Nolan Moyle (25th minute), Nick Petersen (55th minute), and Simeon Schwinger (59th minute/EN).

Murray is now in a regular ward at the Klagenfurt hospital, where he is recovering alongside his partner and his parents, who traveled from Canada. Several teammates have also visited the 33-year-old in recent days.

Major message from the hospital

Before Sunday's game, he addressed the KAC fans with a written message, thanking them for their overwhelming support and the life-saving intervention of the doctors in the arena. He said he was on the road to recovery and hoped to be able to leave the hospital sometime next week.
