First HC Bolzano bombshell: The goalie is gone

The first major personnel decision at HC Bozen has been made: Goalie Sam Harvey will no longer be between the posts.

HC Bozen's transfer window is now officially open! On Sunday evening, the Foxes announced their first major personnel decision: Sam Harvey will no longer be guarding the net for the Red and Whites next season. "Four seasons. 173 games. Countless big saves. Thank you, Sam Harvey," HCB said in farewell to the Canadian goalie.

Harvey arrived in Bolzano from North America in the summer of 2022 as a relatively unknown player. After an outstanding first season in which Bolzano narrowly missed out on the title, the 28-year-old moved to Finland, but returned to Bolzano just a few months later. Since then, he has been the team's goalkeeper.

Last season was the weakest

Last season, however, was Harvey's weakest with HCB. He wasn't the usual calming presence he was during the regular season, but he improved significantly in the playoffs. Unfortunately, Bolzano had to go on vacation after the quarterfinals. Now, HCB and the goalie are parting ways.
